TEMPORARY NO PARKING on RUE DES TRAPPISTE
Rue des Trappistes is the detour route during Stage 1 construction of the Waverley Street Project. City of Winnipeg anticipates increased traffic volumes for a week as motorist access local businesses, from August 15-18. Several factors including, the narrowness of the street, no shoulders to accommodate street parking, and reduced ability to allow vehicles to safely pass in both directions, were considered. Therefore, it is necessary to remove street parking on Rue des Trappistes, beginning August 14.
City of Winnipeg appreciates this may cause some inconvenience. We will monitor the situation, and may reinstate street parking as traffic volumes lessen.
