The chief provincial public health officer is issuing orders under The Public Health Act as approved by the minister of health, seniors and active living. The following measures will be in place as of 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 and must ensure the place of business is closed until 12:01 a.m. on April 14, 2020. Only the types of businesses listed below are permitted to operate as an essential service.
- Restaurants for service delivery or take out only
- Pharmacist;
- Grocery stores including bakeries, butchers and convenience stores;
- Specialty food stores;
- Hardware stores, office supply stores;
- Auto dealerships and mechanics;
- Skilled trades (plumbers, electrician, HVAC, more);
- Transportation (Long Haul Trucking, taxis, vehicle for hire, buses);
- Banks Financial and tax services;
- Pet stores and Vets;
- Gas Stations; and
- Hotels
